Huston

Dr. Huston received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He then completed residency training in internal medicine at Stanford University and fellowship training in rheumatology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He cared for patients and conducted research at the Hopkins Scleroderma Center during fellowship and while a member of the Hopkins faculty. Dr. Huston is currently a rheumatologist with Kansas City Physician Partners and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri Kansas City.

Dr. Huston has been an active member of the American College of Rheumatology and previously served on the Payment Reform Task Force, the Committee on Rheumatologic Care, the Government Affairs Committee, and co-chaired the Alternative Payment Model work group. He has been a member of the ACR Board of Directors and currently serves on the ACR Quality Measures Subcommittee. He participated on the voting panel for the development of the ACR Rheumatoid Arthritis Guidelines from 2018-2020.

He has also been a member of the National Infusion Center Association Standards Development Committee and has worked on projects for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. His most recent activity in that regard was as part of the Clinician Expert Workgroup to develop a Rheumatoid Arthritis Episode-Based Cost Measure.

Dr. Huston likes to spend most of his free time with his three daughters cooking, taking walks, or doing activities around KC. He is also a self-taught astrophotographer and some of his work can be seen on display around the KCPP Plaza office.
