Dr Koenig graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1993. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Brooke Army Medical Center and rheumatology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. After serving in the Army, he came to Kansas City and has worked as a private practice rheumatologist since 2002. He previously provided instruction to medical students and internal medicine residents. He has spoken at numerous medical meetings and patient seminars on various rheumatic topics. He currently participates in clinical research through KCPP and appreciates the importance of research for the advancement of medical care to patients with rheumatic disease. He is board certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and sees patients at our Overland Park location.
