Important Update on Telehealth Services

Due to the expiration of COVID-era telehealth exceptions and lack of eligibility under physician practice reimbursement rules, Kansas City Physician Partners (KCPP) will not be able to provide reimbursable telehealth services after September 30, 2025.

Recent reporting underscores the impact of this change: “Millions of American seniors could lose access to telehealth appointments with their doctors if Congress fails to fund them” The Washington Post. Without guaranteed reimbursement, many providers are saying they will be forced to halt these services.

We recognize that this may create barriers for patients who rely on telehealth for convenience, mobility, or health risk. Beginning October 1, all scheduled and new appointments must be conducted in person at our office.

We are closely following developments in legislation and regulation. If new policy or payer rules emerge that restore telehealth reimbursement eligibility to physician practices like ours, we will update this notice and notify patients directly.

If you have questions, concerns, or need assistance transitioning to in-office care, please contact our office at 816-531-0930.
